Eye-makeup application tips followed By certain techniques to transform your look from a plain Jane to a glamorous Diva. Many things have to be kept in consideration like your skin color, skin type, the occasion, your dress, etc. It is not necessary that what looks good on someone else will look good on you too. Presented here are some easy tips that will definitely give you a hint or two about how to apply eye make up.

Eye Makeup Application Tips

After all, when you look into someone's face, what is the first feature you focus on?! Their eyes!! Yes, the eyes have it! We communicate through our eyes and convey our emotions through them. That's why eye make up (eye shadow) should enhance your eyes (as far as eye color and shape) and not be just excessive (that actually looks nasty and it definitely gets attention but not the kind you want!).

First, determine if your skin tone looks best with warm or cool shades. Neutral colors reminiscent of earth tones (think taupe, beige and brown) work for almost any skin type. If you have a warm skin tone, it is best to go with warmer colors like golds, browns and beiges.
The same rule applies for cool skin tones. Cool eye shadow colors include blues and grays. If you have dark under eye circles, avoid using dark eye shadow colors because it can draw attention and give you a raccoon-look. Eye color is another easy way to choose your eye shadow hue. For blue eyes, pick contrasting shades, like pale pinks, to really make your eyes stand out.

Emphasizing the crease line for depth: Begin with the lightest color first. Dust a light tone over the entire eyelid with a medium eye shadow brush using the following technique: Hold your brush very lightly and go from the lashline to slightly beyond the crease (where the eyelid meets the browbone). Glide up to the browbone and the brush will naturally lift off your face -- just where you want to color to end.

Liquid Eyeliners - These have a fuild consistency and usually come with a brush attached to the cap. However, these are not as easy to apply as the ink-well sponge-tipped variety. To apply liner, look down into your mirror to prevent the liquid smudging. You should stay like this for a few seconds after applying the liner to give it time to dry thoroughly.
Applying Mascara

Before applying mascara, consider curling your lashes with a lash curler to open up your eyes. This is helpful to frame the eyes, especially if your lashes are short. To curl eyelashes with a lash curler your should start by squeezing in "steps" from the lash line to about 3/4 of the way toward tips.

Pencil Eyeliner - This is the easiest way to add extra emphasis to your eyes. A pencil should be used to draw a line close to your upper and lower lashes. It is a good idea to sharpen the pencil between uses, not only to ensure you have a fine tip with which to work, but laos to keep it bacteria free. Alternatively look for eyeliner pencils that come with a smudger built in at the other end.
