As many Asian women will know, black eye pencils have always been used to define their eyes. Today however, eye makeup for Asian eyes also includes other shades and mediums.

Asian eyes need definition. Line the upper and the lower lids and smudge. This opens up and draws attention to them. Shadow colors should be cool grays, and sheer pale shades.

Plums with brown, red or mauve undertones work beautifully for lips. Sheer pinks are right if skin tone is pale. Earth tones corals work well and, of course, a rich, bright red is right when glamour is the top priority.

Asian Eye Makeup Tips

When applying eye makeup for Asians, it is always wise to remember that you do have options. Using a combination of eyeliner pencil, liquid eyeliner, and eye shadow will always add definition and sophistication to your eyes. Make the most of these items.

The yellow and golden skin tones and exotic eye shape are the most outstanding difference that Asian Pacific women enjoy over women of other races and these are just the features that should be emphasized to create a naturally beautiful effect.

Makeup Trends For Asian Women

Once you have found the proper foundation, the next trick is enlarging your eyes. First apply a neutral color from the lash line to the brow to even out any discoloration. Then add a second color which matches the first but is slightly darker or deeper, just on the lid. Blend the border area of the two colors and you’ll have a natural but enhanced look.

The most important factor in deciding what color and how to apply eye shadow is to take into consideration the amount of fold you have above the eye lid. If you possess a fair amount of fold, then you can boldly apply dramatic colors such as black, deep purple, deep turquoise (really stunning) and navy blue for night time wear and utilize the technique of multilayering colors. Colors that are especially flattering for daytime wear are bronze and light colors applied close to the lashes while more intense colors are blended on top.

Lightly fill your eyebrows with a dark brown or eyebrow pencil to provide a strong frame to your eyes. This will help balance the eyeliner which is going to be applied next.

Applying eyeliner - A lick of blue black eye liner will emphasize your beautiful- shaped eyes, and help correct any droopiness. Slick it along the lower lashes and into outer corners of your eyes to create balance. To prevent the overall look from seeming too harsh, use a cotton bud to soften the eyeliner slightly.

Try using a lighter shade of eyeliner under the lower lashes and a heavier shade above the upper lashes if you want your eyes to appear deeper and more open.

Always use a light touch when applying eye make up, if you want to add depth then do so in easy stages, otherwise you may have to clean up and start all over again or feel uncomfortable with the make up looking caked on and unnatural. These are the asian eye makeup tips.
